| Our Teaching Philosophy
SDT believes that people learn through
experiences not lectures. Lectures inform us but do not arm
us with the tools and techniques to execute. Lectures pique
our curiosity but only practice allows us to learn the right
and wrong techniques to carry out a task.
SDT's philosophy is to combine short
bursts of lecture with corresponding hands-on group
exercises that simulate and re-enforce the lesson. Fifteen
minutes of instruction is followed by a practical group lab
that describes a problem scenario that can be solved by the
information provided in the lesson.
This proven instructional approach ensures
a higher level of learning and retention by the student and
is the core element of a long-lasting leak survey program. |
