While it
has been a long time coming, I can honestly say
after reviewing the course material that SDT's
inaugural Level 2 Ultrasound Inspector's
Certification Training was well worth the wait. For
the thousands who have taken our Level 1 course you
will appreciate the significant value we place on
integrating learned knowledge with practical
experience. After all, what good is it to take away
knowledge that can't be applied? So what's new for
the Level 2?
Other
than the review of Level 1 in the first few hours,
EVERYTHING is new! This course is heavily weighted
in Signal Analysis (Time/Spectra) theory and will be
particularly interesting to vibration analysts and
condition monitoring specialists seeking to
understand the integration links between vibration
condition monitoring and ultrasound condition
monitoring (vibration experience is not a
prerequisite, and not necessary to get
the most from this course). There is a greater
emphasis on hands on practice and advanced
applications for airborne, structure borne,
tightness testing, lubrication, rotating, and
non-rotating mechanical.
ASNT?
Yes! Just like our Level 1 class, Level 2 will
reward successful completion with continuing
education units.

With
energy costs soaring, companies are discovering huge
electric and fuel savings by implementing a green
ultrasonic energy management program. |
 |
|
Implementing
an ultrasound compressed air leak and steam trap survey
program that is both effective and enduring is a
challenge faced by nearly every company that has tried.
Standing between success and failure are several
roadblocks including time constraint, manpower
shortages, conflicting priorities, and the need to prove
out the impact the program will have first; often before
funds are approved to start the project. This session
covers all aspects from implementation and practices to
documentation and reporting.
SDT's one
day green ultrasonic energy management program Seminar
provides you with the information to clear the way to a
successful and effective program. Our curriculum is put
together using input from industry experts around the
globe who understand what it takes to run an efficient
compressed air system. Our instructors are passionate
about teaching ultrasound and cannot wait to meet you. -

SDT Training
Programs offers a new concept for training in 2009,
The PdM Super Course.
There is no single
predictive technology which can diagnose all the problems
that lead to mechanical defects within your plant. With so
many great tools available today, Best-of-Class maintenance
departments rely on data from multiple technologies to make
informed assessments about machine health.
Within most maintenance organizations it is
normal to find a select few CERTIFIED personnel at the top
of the technical pyramid. These are the qualified Vibration
Analysts, Ultrasound Inspectors, and Infrared Imagers. But
beyond these experts there is a void of expertise. For every
one expert there are many more who would benefit from a good
understanding of how and where these technologies could be
used.
SDT has created a "SUPER COURSE" designed
to help two specific groups:
-
Those who have some understanding of one technology,
but know very little about the rest
-
Millwrights, engineers, reliability personnel and
anybody else who could benefit from the knowledge of
where and how to use the predictive instrumentation
already on hand.
